Friday 5th May – Coronation Parade
The District will mark the coronation of King Charles III with a parade through Newtownards on Friday 5th May. The parade will start from Mary Street at 7.15pm and pause at Conway Square around 8pm for a short service and address from Councillor Steven Irvine.
Route: Mary Street, Mark Street, Upper North Street, Talbot Street, William Street, Fredrick Street, Mill Street, Circular Road, Donard Avenue, John Street, Fredrick Street, Regent Street, Frances Street, Zion Place, Georges Street, Portaferry Road, Court Street, Old Cross Street, High Street, Conway Square.
Following the remarks at the Square, the parade will re-form and return to the Orange Hall.

Saturday 6th May – VE Day & Coronation Parade
Ex-Servicemen’s LOL 1952 will host their annual VE Day parade on 6th May, which will also incorporate a marking of the coronation of King Charles III.
The parade will begin from South Street at 2pm and make its way to the War Memorial for a service of remembrance. The parade will then reform and parade to its finishing point at Ards Bowling Club.
